It all started when I wrote a program
for Jennifer's father. Since the program was a Windows application,
I got to create an icon for it. Unfortunately, Windows icons are
only this big:
and can only be made from these sixteen colors:
So, when I took this photo of Jennifer:
and converted it into an icon, I got:
I did notice, however, that before I shrunk the image to icon size,
it looked interesting:
Cross Stitch immediately came to mind.
Then I thought, "Could I create a program to generate Cross Stitch
patterns?"
Well, yes as it turns out.
